The Cliffhanger Cafe is a deli cafe that sits atop the cliffs of Torrey Pines. The sandwiches are yummy and the view is breathtaking! You can sit and wath the hangliders take off right in front of you! And when you’re done you can even hike down to the water. By far one of my favorite spots to grab lunch in San Diego!

Caroline’s is a little gem in La Jolla that is technically on UCSD campus and one of my favorite spots for brunch! You can sit on the outdoor patio and watch the surfers and waves roll in as you eat. The food is delicious and the beach is a few steps away for a nice walk after you’ve filled your bellies.

For anyone who has ever been to Italy and fell head over heels for wine, pasta, pizza, and everything Italian, you must make the drive up Cordiano Winery in Escondido. I will say it is a bit of a drive up some winding roads (be sure to designate a driver if you plan to wine taste.. adn you should!) but it is oh soworth it! The view is so beautiful – be sure to go during sunset! They are open Wednesday – Sunday from 11:00am-8:00pm. The owners, a delightful Italian couple, live on the property and you can tell with your first bite of your specialty pizza that everything is wonderfully authentic.
