Last week our little family made it out to the Carlsbad Flower Fields to see all the beautiful blooming Ranunculus flowers. This place is a must if you live in San Diego or if you are visiting during the spring months. Parking is free and tickets are $14 for adult admission, $13 for seniors, $7 for kids 3-10 and little ones 2 and under are free. It’s open every day from 9:00am-6:00pm through May 14th – so there’s still time! You can even bring a picnic if you plan ahead! The beautiful rows of gorgeous flowers are breathtaking and there are also tractor rides, a sweet pea maze, a great playground and a couple of beautiful gardens to walk through. Grace would probably say that the whimsical playground is her favorite part! Little one can never get enough slides and this playground has a couple of good ones!
This place is definitely one of my favorite little gems of San Diego so if you live close, I hope you get to see it before it closes for the year on May 14th! It also happens to be very close to the Carlsbad Strawberry Company, so you could pick your strawberries and see the flower fields in the same day if you’re up for it!
