I never really thought much about the skincare and cosmetic products I was using until I became pregnant with Grace in 2014. Suddenly I was much more concerned with what I was putting on my body (our skin is our largest organ and what we put on it gets absorbed into our bodies) and how it would effect my growing baby. Becoming a mother changes everything and there was nothing I wanted more than to protect the health of my child. Even as a medical professional, I found it challenging and frustrating to try to interpret the labels on each and every product I was using and educate myself on all these different chemicals like pthalates and parabens (read more about them here, here, here and here).
I came across Beautycounter several months ago on a blog I follow and was very intrigued and interested in the mission of their company: to get safer products into the hands of everyone. As a pediatric nurse pracitioner and a Mom with the hope of growing our family, I love the fact that ALL of Beautycounter’s products are safe for pregnant and breastfeeding women! It’s so great that it is a one stop shop for safe options for any busy mama (or human being) out there!
I believe so strongly in the mission of their company and in protecting our greatest asset; our health. I became a consultant for Beautycounter and am excited to share their mission and all of my favorite and beauitful products with you. I slowly replaced my facewash, night cream, eye cream and foundation over the course of a few months and now strictly use only beautycounter for skincare.
